Send us your form

Email application form, non-advisory share trading authority along with certified copy of:

  • Probate 
  • Death Certificate
  • Executor’s drivers licence or passport
  • Holding/dividend statements of shares to be sold

Note:  The shares are held on either a Security Reference Number (SRN) or a CHESS Registered Number (HIN) details of which are located at the top right-hand side of the shareholding or dividend statement).  For CHESS Holdings, please email contact@deceasedestatesharesales.com to find out the additional steps required to sell the shares.

Sell Shares

We sell the shares at the prevailing market price.  You receive an emailed copy of the contract note, confirming the sale has been completed.

Settlement

Sale proceeds are credited to the nominated bank account 2 business days (ASX settlement days), after the sale has completed.

Our sale transaction fees per stock per transaction (including GST) are

Our fee is automatically debited from the sale proceeds you receive.

 

Share Transfer Fee

If you need to transfer the shares from the deceased estate to the beneficiaries, we are able to assist in completing the necessary paperwork with the share registries.  Our fee for this service is $110 (including 0.55 GST) per share transfer.

Payment is made upfront via credit card or direct deposit.

 

Search for Security Reference Number (SRN)

If you have a dividend/holding statement from the share registry but are unable to locate the SRN, please provide us with dividend/holding statement and we will attempt to find the SRN.  There is a search fee of $88 per share to locate the SRN.  The fee will only be charged to you if the SRN can be located.

What happens if Probate isn’t being applied for?

For shareholdings below $25,000 you must complete the small estates indeminity form per share holding and supply a certified copy of the Will.

What happens if the person died without a will (Intestate)?

Who can certify the documents?

A Justice of the Peace (JP), Accountant, Authorised Representative of a Financial Planning Group, Solicitor, Pharmacist, Post Office Manager, Police or Bank Officer may certify your documents.  They must clearly print their name, registration number (if applicable), sign and date.
